MP3-Tag works with MP3, WAV and FLAC. The formats differ in which tags they can store.
MP3 and FLAC: all fields
With MP3 and FLAC, you can use all fields:
- Title
- Artist
- Album
- Album artist
- Year
- Genre
- Track number
- Composer
- Label
- Comment
- Copyright
- ISRC
- Cover
WAV: basic tags only
WAV only supports these fields:
- Title
- Artist
- Album
- Year
- Genre
- Track number
- Comment
- Copyright
Not possible with WAV: Composer, label, album artist, ISRC and cover.
Our tip
If you want to use all fields, especially ISRC and cover, work with MP3 or FLAC. With WAV files, the fields that WAV doesn't support are not saved. They are marked accordingly in the editor.
